The Johns Hopkins Rehabilitation Network continues to push the boundaries of medical education, research and patient care. Below, we highlight some examples.

In Stimulating the Brain to Enhance Rehabilitation Effects, you can read about the new noninvasive brain stimulation program, one of the few programs of its kind in the world. Recognized experts in the field of neurological rehabilitation provide a variety of brain stimulation techniques paired with evidence-based rehabilitation for neurological conditions such as motor, language, cognitive and movement disorders.

The Johns Hopkins Cancer Rehabilitation Program, featured in Rehabilitation Throughout the Cancer Journey, is another successful program offering rehabilitation therapy before, during and after cancer treatment on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. The goal is to prevent and relieve impairments, combat physical and mental fatigue, and help patients achieve the best quality of life whether they are survivors or living with the chronic illness.

The article Faculty and Residents Develop Software to Enhance Interaction, Facilitate Precision Education details an online interface created by the medical residents and attending physicians in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The goal was to create a place where the two groups can communicate without the restraints of time or space.
