PROSE Treatment

Fellowship-trained optometrist Anisa Gire explains the process and benefits of the prosthetic replacement of the ocular surface ecosystem (PROSE) treatment for patients with complex corneal disease. The Wilmer Eye Institute is one of 12 eye hospitals in the United States that offers PROSE. PROSE uses FDA-approved, custom-designed prosthetic lenses to restore visual function, protect the cornea and reduce symptoms of disease.
